Jason Robertson stays with Dallas Stars after signing $12 million deal

Roberton, 26, has played for the Stars in all seven years of his career, and now he's returning for an eighth. He will be eligible to sign an extension with Dallas starting on January 1st.

The California native has posted at least 35 goals and/or 45 assists in three of the last four seasons with the Stars. He's coming off a stellar 45-goal season, just two short of breaking his own career high, along with 51 assists.

Robertson has played in all 82 regular season games the past four straight seasons and is just 10 points short of 500 for his career (213 goals, 277 assists).

Prior to getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs this past season, the Stars made the Western Conference Finals for three straight seasons. The last time they made the Stanley Cup Finals was 2020, when they lost in six games to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
